A vaccine under development could prove effective against all variants of the coronavirus.

It is currently being tested by the US Walter Reed Institute of the Army and is a vaccine that can be used against all variants of the virus.

Initial results are promising.

"The vaccine has not yet been tested, but the results should be positive," says NTB's health director Bjørn Guldvog.

"Vaccines like these can help us recover from the pandemic," he says.

The vaccine has been in development for two years and Phase 1 of the study has been completed. But phases 2 and 3 still remain to be performed.

The institute is expected to announce the news that the vaccine will be ready for use in a few weeks, he writes warehouse defensive DefenseOne.

The U.S. military is creating a single vaccine against all COVID and SARS variants, researchers said

Within weeks, Walter Reed scientists expect to announce that human trials are showing success against Omicron and even future strains.
