Norway - 7879 new COVID-19 infections recorded in the last 24 hours

24 coronavirus infections were registered in Norway in the last 7879 hours. This is 3861 more than on the same day last week.

In the last seven days, an average of 5360 infections a day were recorded.

The corresponding average seven days ago was 3335, so the trend is rising.

295 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized on Thursday. There were eleven fewer than the day before.

A total of 91 patients are in the intensive care unit, and 66 of them require ventilator support. According to information from the Norwegian Health Directorate, there are four more people in intensive care.

According to the information of the National Institute of Public Health, a total of 428 people in Norway have tested positive for the presence of the coronavirus.

According to preliminary data, a total of 2020 people infected with COVID-1349 have died in Norway since March 19. On January 6, 8385 infections were registered in Norway, the highest number to date, for the third day in a row with record-high infection rates.
