Man run over by a truck in Oslo

The man was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

Oslo police reported the accident on Friday morning at 4.18. The accident happened at a cargo terminal in Alnabru, north of Oslo.

- The man was run over by a truck and seriously injured his pelvis and legs. He has been taken to hospital, writes the police who are investigating and questioning witnesses on the spot.

Operations Manager Tor Gulbrandsen reported VG that the wounded man's condition was serious. The truck driver was questioned on the spot.

"We'll also find out soon if there is video surveillance and if there are more witnesses we can talk to," says Gulbrandsen.

In an update at 5.40 am on Friday morning, the police say that the injured is a man in his thirties.

- Preliminary health information indicates that leg injuries are serious but likely not life-threatening, writes Oslo Police District.

According to the police, the employer also implemented its internal procedures after the accident.
