- Norway has decided to declare three diplomats at the Russian Embassy in Oslo as unwanted. All three carried out activities inconsistent with their diplomatic status, says Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt.
– This results from shocking reports of abuses by Russian forces against the civilian population, especially in Bucha near Kiev. It is natural that in such a situation we pay more attention to unwanted Russian activities in Norway, says the minister foreign affairs.
"Together with our close allies and partners, we will continue to jointly oppose Russian aggression and jointly support Ukraine," said Foreign Minister Huitfeldt.
Other countries have also deported the employees of Russian institutions
45 diplomats had to leave Poland as a matter of urgency, accusing them of espionage for the Kremlin. The following countries have also expelled employees from Russian institutions: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Slovakia, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, and Sweden.
