A record number of people will spend Easter this year at home in Norway, which means heavy traffic on Norwegian roads. Every year, people die in the Easter movement, and statistics also show that there are too many seriously injured.

- In this year's Easter movement, we go to zero. The Norwegian Public Roads Authority wants you to dare "to be the little chicken in the Easter traffic," says road director Ingrid Dahl Hovland.

- You can go on a Norwegian vacation, to a cottage, to your family, to a group of friends. Remember that you come home later, says Dahl Hovland.

Hovland gives you some specific tips on how to be a good driver in the Easter traffic.

- Adapt your speed to weather and road conditions, fasten your seat belts, drive sober, pack your car well, plan your trip and focus on the road.

More people are going to the mountains for Easter and the journey can be difficult

- Both because driving conditions can be difficult and because, as a driver, you may not drive there as often and you do not know the road well. Therefore, plan your trip well and pack warm clothes, food and plenty of time for Easter luggage - the road director encourages.

Christmas tours and good advice on how to be a good Easter driver are also topics in the new podcast of the Norwegian Public Road Administration "Talk on the road" .
