In June, the Norwegian Public Road Administration will start work on the modernization of the RV tunnel. 150. Working with Storolokket starts right after Pinsedag.

It will be closed at night, then a detour is recommended. This will last until January 2023.

  • Weekly closing hours: 22.00 - 06.00
  • Saturday: 22:00 am - 08:00 pm
  • Sunday: 20:00 - 09:00

The tunnel was opened in 1994. It is approximately 135 meters long and has two gears with two continuous stripes in each direction. ÅDT (year-round traffic) is approx. 51400 (2021). In addition, calculations show that on the flyover towards Sinsen ÅDT traffic is 10, while ÅDT 000 aut has been measured towards Storo.

Above the tunnel there is a road junction with traffic lights and two tram tracks. In addition, to the southwest of the tunnel there is a bridge over the subway. On the south-west side there is a parallel path for pedestrians and cyclists.

In addition to the concrete culvert itself, the tunnel has two flyovers on the west side and two on the east side, where there is a high wall between them and the main traffic lane on the ring road 3.

The work to be done is:

  • Concrete repair
  • Injection of cracks with precipitation of stone in the ceiling
  • Removal of noise silencers
  • Fire protection devices
  • Replacement of cable bridges
  • lighting
  • board in the technical room
  • manholes and frames in troughs with concrete covers
  • Replacement of manhole covers and frames with water and sewage manholes
  • Repair of road shoulders
  • Replacement of some signs and masts / portals in the day zone
  • Establishing signs speed limits with variable speed in the day zone
