immigrants in Norway-statistics
It is impossible to hide: immigrants in Norway, especially immigrants in Oslo, are an increasing group of people living in the country of the fjords. The Progress Party (Frp) produced a special report at the end of April. There are around a hundred suggestions in the report for Frp's future immigration policy. The report is based on reliable research carried out by the Norwegian Central Statistical Office (SSB - Statistisk Sentralbyrå). What does the data say?
Immigrants in Oslo - The number of foreigners continues to grow

Areas of the city inhabited almost exclusively by immigrants
It is worth noting that there are settlements in Oslo that are practically fully inhabited by immigrants. We are talking mainly about: Fossum and Rommen. 90% of children born there have an immigrant mother. The Norwegian authorities are against such ethnic segregation. The "lifeline" is to be the introduction of a ban on the settlement of refugees in municipalities where the level of "immigration is already at the level of 15% or higher." Will this idea help to deal with the problem?
immigrants in Norway-statistics. A controversial proposition
It cannot be denied that this idea raises some kind of controversy. Will limiting the number of immigrants in a given region make them leave the country? Some time ago, the Progress Party indicated that it wanted to allocate more money to financial aid in conflict zones.
Growing unemployment among the descendants of immigrants
While discussing this topic, it is worth noting that, according to data from 2018, it was among the descendants of immigrants - unemployment was the highest in the first line. The most economically active people in this group are immigrants from Eastern Europe. The highest unemployment is observed among immigrants from Africa and Asia.
