– Despite high inflation, rising interest rates and international unrest, unemployment continues to fall. So far this year, the number of completely unemployed people has fallen by 26 people, and unemployment is now at record low level we had in 2008, says Hans Christian Holte, director of employment and social welfare.

At the end of July, the percentage of completely unemployed was the highest among people aged 30 (2,3% of the employed, and the lowest among people under 20 - 0,9%).
High job demand
In July, 27 new vacancies were registered on arbeidsplassen.no. This corresponds to 900 new vacancies per working day, or 1400%. less than in July last year.
Most of the novelties were in the areas of health, nursing and care (6200), work in shops and sales (3100), and engineering and computer science (2600).
