Forskrift til avhendingslova contains the conditions that must be met in order for the report to be accepted and used as part of the sales documents. The regulations also contain clear instructions on what a building surveyor must assess and document.
How the report is prepared.
As soon as you sign the contract with the real estate agent you entrusted with the sale of your property, you should expect a call from the appraiser. The building surveyor will set the date of the visit with you and will ask you to prepare documents regarding the renovation works carried out on the property. The next step is a visit to the seller's house during which a person with construction experience will inspect the property.

Why you should attend a property inspection
It is very important that you as the seller attend the inspection by a building expert. In this way, you can provide real estate information. In addition, it is an advantage to document the renovation works that affected the property. It is recommended to present all bills, invoices and other documentation of the work performed.
