“During the pandemic, we experienced a massive increase in membership. People sought security in turbulent times. Then came a new government that doubled union write-offs and worked with us to strengthen organized working life.
– Members poured in during the strike. And historically good pay agreement it meant that new ones were still coming. One million members gives us even more power, even more strength, which we will use in our fight to keep people safe and prosperous. Jonas Gahr Støre and his government have brought a lot of good, but we must move on, says LO leader Peggy Hessen Følsvik.
“We need to fight inequality, continue redistribution, raise those who have least and continue the big cleanup in Norwegian working life,” he adds.
