Just pack a ready-made sleeping bag, tent and sleeping pad. Saturday, September 2 is Nature Night and this year Swedes, Danes and Finns are also sleeping outside.

On Saturday, September 2 Friluftslivet week will begin by inviting all of Norway to a Night in Nature.

In 2023, Night in Nature will be special because it is part of common Nordic holiday.

How can I participate?

To participate in a Night in Nature, simply bring a sleeping bag, tent, hammock, or whatever you prefer to spend the night in, and lie down outside. And of course, remember to bring enough food, drinks and warm clothing.

Whether you relax on the terrace, in the mountains, on the beach or in the nearby forest is entirely up to you. Whether you sleep alone or with your boyfriend, wife and kids, group of friends or best friend, we won't interfere either.

A common Nordic tradition

Nordic Night in Nature is based on the long-standing, common Nordic tradition of cultivating outdoor life. The habit of spending a lot of time in nature all year round is something that binds Nordic populations together.

Outdoor living not only connects us to the rest of the Nordic region. It also connects us with nature. And we know it's good for both physical and mental health.

Great Photo Contest: There will also be a photography competition during Natt in Naturen, whose winner this year will take part in the joint Nordic final. See how to participate here!
