From January 1, 2020, online shopping without VAT will no longer be possible. This solution was proposed by the KrF and was supported by the required parliamentary majority. According to the party's calculations, this will add an additional NOK 750 million to the Norwegian budget.

Online shopping without VAT have been possible since 2015. They concerned products purchased outside Norway, the value of which did not exceed NOK 350.
