Undoubtedly, dealing with the criminal environment is not an easy task. A policeman who was forced to shoot a vandal today found out about it. Unfortunately, this one died on the spot. However, the success of the Polish police is the arrest of members of a group that trades in tobacco and spirits. The treasury will certainly benefit from this. The Seym, on the other hand, will most likely benefit from Kaczyński's return, because "when the cat is gone, the mice play" ...

The painful absence of the president of PIS

President Jarosław Kaczyński was hospitalized at the beginning of May. He complained of knee pain, which - as a colleague of the politician claimed - is to be cured soon by prominent orthopedists watching over Kaczyński. However, he did not ensure how long the indisposition from the knee disease would last. The president's absence from the parliamentary bench is not expected to be interrupted, and the opposition already sees the consequences of his absence in the form of a significant slowdown in work on the law on the reduction of the salaries of deputies and senators, which Kaczyński was particularly interested in. The former pro-social activities of the Law and Justice party really contrast with the dry approach towards the disabled and their relatives who have been protesting in the Sejm for 36 days.

The cigarette mafia is smashed

Eleven people related to illegal trade in unspecified nicotine products and alcohol were detained. The informal leader of the criminal group turned out to be a 43-year-old from Łódź, who sold about 7 tons of tobacco and almost 9000 liters of spirit in six months. Most of the detained are hooligans of one of the football clubs in Łódź. Suspects may be imprisoned for up to seven years and a fine. The State Treasury lost about PLN 6 million on the excise duty alone. The head of the group has been convicted of fiscal offenses before, so he is likely to be arrested until sentencing.

. Shooting in Opole

Around 12:00 a policeman trying to stop a 43-year-old man fatally shot him. The reason for the attempt to arrest was vandalism committed against a car parked nearby. The man devastating the vehicle not only failed to respond to the calls of the officers, but also pulled out a weapon-like object while escaping. Then, as part of self-defense, the policeman decided to fire the shots. Unfortunately, the man's resuscitation did not take effect. It is rumored in the media that the 43-year-old was the first to use a firearm, but the prosecution did not confirm this version of the events. At the moment, the investigators are determining whether the policeman's actions were adequate to the situation.
