On Sunday, October 4, Nav sent a digital letter to 100 people. Contents of the letter stating that their AAP has been extended for six months. As it turns out, this letter shouldn't have been sent.
In a press release, Nav said in the letter it could look as if some had received a maximum six-month extension of the AAP from October 4.
– This is bad news. The content of the letter was not checked before sending and we apologize for this. It should be clear that the decisions have been extended for six months in case of many people receiving AAP, says the director of labor and social welfare Hans Christian Holte.
Nav sent letters with incorrect information to 100 people. The AAP extension is temporary a change to the normally applicable rules, which was decided by the Storting due to the pandemic situation.
The additional months include, but are not limited to, those receiving AAP and undergoing clarification regarding benefits professional or disability. People who are actually in the process of starting their own business, or undergo a trial period or transition to full-time employment.

An additional six months are awarded to people who receive AAP and:
- are in the process of issue benefits employee or disability benefits
- Students receiving AAP because they left school due to illness
- you are setting up your own business
- undergoes internship in job / you are moving to full-time work
- your application for an invalidity pension is processed
AAP while looking for a job
If you are receiving AAP during your period as a jobseeker and you would have reached the maximum benefit period of six months on Day 1 brand 2020 or later, the benefit period will be extended until October 31, 2020.
NAV will send you decision-making letters when your period is extended.
The rules for awarding AAP have not changed changed as a result of regulations temporary.
