Kluczyk Investments against PGE's tender offer
On May 22, the state-owned energy giant PGE announced a tender offer for the purchase of Polenergia shares. These, however, belong to Kulczyk Investments, which does not intend to get rid of them. This is determined by the current economic conditions - PGE offered a price of PLN 16,29 per share, but at the close of the stock exchange on May 23, their market value was PLN 17,30 per share.
"Polenergia SA is a long-term investment for the Kulczyk family, therefore they do not intend to respond to the announced tender offer for the sale of shares." - Kulczyk Investments announced in an official announcement.
For the representatives of Polenergia, PGE's proposal was a surprise. It is worth mentioning that the company is the largest enterprise in the renewable energy industry. In the near future, they intend to implement a project of offshore wind farms with a total capacity of 1200 MW.

The protest of Krakow judges
Dagmara Pawelczyk-Woicka, the new President of the District Court in Krakow, did not gain recognition in the judiciary environment. She obtained a vote of no confidence, and Krakow judges are calling on her to step down from her position. The reasons for this reluctance are, inter alia, attempts to intimidate judges, insufficient qualifications and inability to cooperate with other court bodies. Additionally, it is emphasized that the new President began his office by purging judges, mainly heads of divisions.
The President of the District Court in Krakow herself does not comment on the case. As he emphasizes, he is left at the disposal of the Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro and the National Council of the Judiciary. However, both the Minister and the National Council of the Judiciary have no objections to the person of Dagmara Pawelczyk-Woicka.
