A steel goat is a cheaper alternative. This type of furnace has thinner walls and therefore has lower heating properties. For this reason, it quickly ceases to heat after the furnace is extinguished, because the steel goat has a lower heat accumulation capacity.

In both cases, the furnace is lined with fireclay bricks, which keep the heat inside the furnace even after the fire is extinguished. On the other hand, external enclosures can be divided into two basic types, which will determine individual devices for other applications.
If the fireplace is to be used for heating, for example, a workshop or a small garage, it is worth choosing cast iron stoves with a simple housing. They are usually painted with enamel and do not stand out with a stunning appearance. The designers, however, make every effort to intriguingly integrate these structures into the interior of the house.
Goat stoves with decorated housings stand out with much greater aesthetic values. For this purpose, cladding made of ceramic plates or tiles.
