New banknotes in denominations of NOK 50 and NOK 500 will be introduced into circulation. However, only in the fourth quarter of 2019. Therefore, you will be able to pay with both editions for a year.

Important Informacja for Polish people

Worth knowingthat the changes may cause some difficulties for Poles. They result from the fact that banknotes in denominations of 100 and 200 NOK will no longer be exchangeable in currency exchange offices - including those located in Poland. Therefore, before you go on a trip to your home country, we recommend that you do not take old means of payment with you.
