Atari VCS breaks records

The announced pre-sale of the latest Atari VCS console has already started. Producers decided to offer it on the Indiegogo portal. It is worth mentioning that this retro equipment breaks popularity records. The console itself is inspired by the Atari 2600. There will also be a special edition, with a wooden panel on the front, which is a iconic and distinctive element of this equipment. This limited version will cost $ 299. The cheapest kit, in turn, will hover at $ 269. The official premiere is to take place in July next year.

American and Chinese laboratories have developed weapons whose task is to effectively destroy electronics. The army is seriously interested in her. Such information was made public at the IEEE Symposium on Security & Privacy meeting. The state-of-the-art device was presented there, which was jointly developed by scientists from the universities of Michigan and Zhejiang. It emits acoustic waves that can damage, for example, a hard disk, which in turn will lead to the loss of important data. It is worth mentioning that SSD drives, which are still widely used around the world, are particularly vulnerable to such attacks.

Successful test of the Polish satellite

Światowid is to be the first Polish satellite launched into Earth orbit. His test flight has just been successfully completed. According to official information, it is to be launched into orbit this year. It will thus become the first commercial device of this type, thanks to which it will be possible to conduct research in space. The test flight took off from the campus of the Wrocław University of Technology. The satellite was raised to a height of 30 km. Everything indicates that you will manage to launch Światowid in the third quarter of this year. Apart from him, Rusalka will also go into orbit. The launch is to be from Wallops Island, Virginia.

The sharpest image of the Tarantula Nebula has been published

The Tarantula Nebula is located in the Large Magellanic Cloud. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful constellations visible from Earth. ESA has just released the sharpest image ever taken of this nebula. Scientists also looked inside. As they say, they did not find any tarantula in it. However, they discovered the fastest spinning star around its axis. It does this at 2 million kilometers per hour - which is 100 times faster than the sun. The effect of this phenomenon is the flattening of the star.
