They are known and liked. However, they have not played any concerts in Norway so far. This will change on June 16 - the band Farba will perform at the Vaer Stolt Festival in Oslo. However, the day before, i.e. June 15, we will host them in... Radio Wataha!

How did it start?

The band was founded in 2000 in Gdynia. Initially, they played concerts without any official name yet. However, that was soon to change. Before one of the first performances, the event sponsor scattered hair dye sachets among the audience. Most of them, however, broke and ended up everywhere - on stage and in front of the stage. For this reason, the band ended the show with the ready-made name - Farba. It has remained so until today.

Road to succes

The first successes include the individual achievement of the singer Joanna Kozak. In 2000, she won one of the editions of "Chance for Success" - a program run by Wojciech Mann. In her winning performance, she performed the song by Anna Jantar entitled "As much truth as lies."

A year later, together with the Farba band, they qualified for the 38th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole in the "Debuts" category. This performance resulted in the cooperation of Sony Music Polska. This label released their debut album "Muszę się scream!", Which was promoted with the single "I want to stay here". The promotional piece turned out to be a radio hit - for many weeks it did not come off the top of the charts of many radio stations. The album was promoted by two more singles - one entitled "What if that's not true?" also appeared on the compilation of TVP1 Polskie Przeboje Jedynki vol. 5. It is worth noting that the clip for the third promotional song entitled "Far" was made in Chicago.

Other albums

The band did not stop with one debut album. In 2008, the second album was released. "Ślady", published by MJM / EMI. It was promoted by singles such as: "Piosenka bez światow" and "Nie tell me that".

For the tenth anniversary of its activity, the band has already recorded their third album, entitled "10", which was released in 2010. It was on it, among others the song "Last Night", which was included in the soundtrack of the film entitled "Pigs" directed by Robert Gliński. During their concerts, songs from the latest album entitled "JOKO". It will be released later this year.

An award-winning team

The Farba team can be proud of many awards. He has received an award from Radio FAMA three times. The final performance during the 2010th Carpathia Festival XNUMX International Song Festival is also one of the undoubted achievements.

What will they play in Oslo?

During his concerts, Farba plays the most famous songs from all albums released so far. They also present songs that will be released on the latest album entitled "JOKO". What distinguishes this band is the excellent contact with the audience. As one of the few in Poland, he invites his fans to the stage. They always have prepared surprises in the form of CDs and signed photos of the band. Having fun and singing the audience - these are the images that most often accompany Farby's performances. The Norwegian Polish community will be able to find out about it on June 16 during the Vaer Stolt Festival in Oslo.

On June 15, we invite you to listen to the broadcast with Farba!
