The Polish Vodka Museum will be established

Every nation boasts of what it has the best. When it comes to alcoholic beverages, Italians boast about wines, French people boast cognacs and champagnes, while Czechs loudly praise their beer. This is why a museum dedicated to vodka will be established in Poland. The Polish Vodka Museum will open in just one week (June 12) in Warsaw's Praga district. It will be located in the building which once housed the former Koneser factory - a vodka reclamation company. Work on this institution lasted four years. Ticket sales will start next Thursday, and the sanctuary will be open to the public next week.

Nerves on the justice commission

- Don't interrupt me, little shit! - with these words, MP Janusz Sanocki (non-attached) addressed MP Arkadiusz Myrcha (PO). This was to happen after Janusz Sanocki criticized the functioning of the Polish judiciary and the National Council of the Judiciary. He stressed that the Council had not presented any reform proposal. Then he was accused by Arkadiusz Myrcha of lying.

No complaint to the Deputies' Ethics Committee

Janusz Sanocki's behavior aroused indignation among MPs from the Civic Platform. Kinga Gajewska asked Stanisław Piotrowicz (PiS) to report the matter to the Deputies' Ethics Committee. In response, the chairman of the Justice Committee thundered that it was the opposition who should be reprimanded for speaking without permission.

The symbol of Lublin has burned down

At night, Lublin firefighters were called to extinguish a fire on a tree that was stored in Galeria Labirynt. It is known as the "baobab", but was actually a black poplar. It grew for 120 years on Litewski Square, and in 1990 it was declared a natural monument. A year ago, however, the tree began to die and therefore it was decided to cut it down. The trunk of the baobab was lying in front of Galeria Labirynt on Popiełuszki Street. It was decided to keep it because it has become a permanent feature of Lublin's landscape, becoming one of the city's symbols.

CBŚP carries out further arrests

CBŚP detained 10 people on Tuesday. They are accused of extorting PLN 21 million from the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture. After the interrogation, the suspects were released. It was not decided to arrest temporarily, but police supervision was used. It is also forbidden to contact these persons. The suspects include fruit and vegetable producers, as well as a real estate appraiser. The scam consisted in inflating the prices of real estate that were bought by entrepreneurs. The funds for the purchase came from the ARMA co-financing, as well as from European Funds.
