Filipino disease is a disease that mainly affects top politicians. The first symptoms could already be observed in Boris Yeltsin. Our former President, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, also had problems with it. Now, years later, the Philippine disease is attacking again, and Jean-Claude Juncker - President of the European Commission has fallen victim to it!
Filipino disease takes no prisoners
During the last NATO summit in Brussels, the Filipino disease caught the President of the European Commission. Jean-Claude Juncker was clearly showing her symptoms - he had trouble climbing the steps and he was unable to keep his balance. The climax came when all NATO leaders came down from the landing after taking a photo together. The President of the European Union required the help of two people because he was unable to climb the few steps on his own. The escort accompanied him until the end of the ceremony.

However, this was not the first time that the disease had hit Jean-Claude Juncker. The first symptoms could be observed, inter alia, during the European Union Partnership Summit held in 2015 in Latvia. Its symptoms were evident in the behavior of the Chairman. He was exuberant and showed great tendencies to "fraternize" with the leaders of other countries of the Commonwealth, including with Victor Orban. Toward the Hungarian leader JC Juncker, he first wrote a friendly joke: "The dictator is coming", and then greeted him as if he was a friend with a backyard. It is especially visible after the handshake, as well as after a directed friendly blow to the face from an open hand.

It started with Boris Yeltsin
The Filipino disease began to attack the most eminent personalities from the world of politics in the early 90's. Its first victim was Boris Yeltsin - the then President of the Russian Federation. The leader suffered from it, among others during a visit to Germany. What's more - this condition prevented him from going to Ireland, and made it very difficult to sing the popular Russian song "Kalinka"
Aleksander Kwaśniewski - the first Polish politician
In Poland, the Filipino disease became famous after its symptoms were observed in the then President of the Republic of Poland - Aleksander Kwasniewski. During his visit to Ukraine, he had problems, incl. with the clear articulation of sentences, maintaining balance and with the precise expression of your own thoughts.

The disease also affects rank-and-file MPs
It is not only state leaders who suffer from the Philippine disease. A few years ago, TVN reporters were suspected by the strange behavior of PSL MP - Andrzej Pałus. He looked tired and had trouble keeping his balance. Concerned about the health of the deputy, they decided to ask him if everything was okay. During the interview, another typical symptom of Filipino disease, related to the speech disorder, was clearly visible.

Filipino disease - symptoms
With the above videos in mind, we can distinguish typical symptoms that Filipino disease causes in politicians. The most characteristic are the following:
- balance disorders,
- problem with articulating sentences,
- difficulty expressing your own thoughts
- excessive euphoria,
- willingness to make friends with everyone,
- problems with memory.
Taking into account the fact that the Philippine disease affects even the most eminent world politicians, it should be considered an extremely dangerous and expansive phenomenon. Dread to think what will happen if the bacteria or viruses responsible for its development start to mutate, as a result of which ordinary citizens will also suffer from it.
