The protest of Polish policemen - has already been going on for the third day. Uniforms expect an increase in wages or paid overtime. Initially, they demanded that the working time for retirement be reduced to 15 years, in line with the rule prior to the 2013 reform, but protesters said they were willing to make concessions. However, there was a demand to abolish the minimum retirement age, which is 55 today.

They don't write tickets
As part of the demonstration, the officers decided not to write tickets, but only instruct people who committed minor offenses. They assure that they do not intend to paralyze the functioning of the state and will certainly punish citizens who pose a threat to others or commit more serious offenses.
Almost all policemen are in favor of the protests
In a referendum survey before the start of the protest, as many as 99% of police officers supported it. They believe that improving employment conditions will solve the problem of the police shortage in Poland Poland and will improve quality their lives and work, and will also have a positive impact on the selection of employed officers. The current salaries of uniformed services have remained unchanged for many years due to the freezing of their indexation.
Other services join in
Officers of the State Fire Service, Border Guard, Prison Service and Customs and Tax Service also join the action. It was decided by the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uniformed Services, at the same time establishing the beginning of the protest on July 16. Marcin Kolasa, chairman of the FZZSM, explains that this decision is dictated by the lack of agreement with the minister of internal affairs and administration. He is counting on the conflict to be suppressed without activating the solutions prepared by the uniformed.
The protests do not impress the Ministry of the Interior
However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has a laconic approach to the matter. Four months ago, the minister received a trade union request that he did not even deign to address. The draft agreement sent to the Ministry of Interior and Administration on July 4 also remained unanswered. However, looking away from the problem is of little use - the protest action is by definition indefinite.
