Health Minister Bent Høie (H) asks municipalities to prepare for the re-opening of the country from 24 September.

This is the result of a letter sent by the Ministry of Health to municipalities in the country.

Municipalities that still need restrictions are asked to develop their own regulations regarding the coronavirus. Those that will be able to enter into force on Friday this week.

That's it VG as first mentioned the case.

Saliba Secretary Andreas Korkunc (H) tells NTB that the letter has been sent to the municipalities in preparation for the transition to "normal daily life with increased alertness" and that this is a continuation of the meeting they had. with all municipalities last Friday.

- At the same time as we sent the letter to the municipalities, we posted a message about it on regjeringen.no. All of this happened on Monday. Currently, the only thing missing is preparations for the re-opening of Norway, says Korkunc.

- As we gradually move to "normal everyday life with emergency preparedness," most of the principles in covid-19 are gone. Some municipalities may still need local remedial legislation. In the letter, we encourage the communes that need it to start this work as soon as possible. So that all local regulations can be adopted with effect from September 24 - he adds.

. The municipalities will be ready

- We are relatively prepared for this and we are very happy about it - says the mayor of Kristiansand Jan Oddvar Skisland (H) to Fædrelandsvennen. He does not think Kristiansand can deal with local measures on its own on the day that national restrictions end.

Larvik's municipal health and coping manager, Guro Winsvold, is also in favor of the date.

- We are on on the right track, to do this. There will be a crisis meeting on Wednesday next week where we will fully review the situation in the municipality, Winsvold tells Østlands-Posten.

Trondheim, Morten Wolden, calls it good news for most of the people. However, he added that the municipality expected the reopening to take place a little later.

-At the same time, before this news came, there was a meeting. But I guess that's a bit of a short term. We are prepared to implement new local regulations in a short time - says Wolden to Adressy.

Concrete day

Korkunc says the Ministry of Health and Welfare was in a difficult position to set a specific date.

- We wanted a specific date to be set, to which the municipalities could refer, that it was Friday, September 24th, that was appropriate - he says.

From September 27, in the so-called TISK strategy, the requirements for covid control of communes will be abolished. TISK is responsible for testing, isolation, infection detection and quarantine.

Lifting some TISK restrictions means fewer people have to be quarantined and municipalities may be less involved in tracking infections.
