Hornets in Norway - when did they appear?

- Østfold,
- Akershus,
- hedmark,

Hornets in Norway - is there anything to be afraid of?
Have you spotted a hornet? Do you have cause for concern? It turns out that it is not - the hornets, despite their size, are gentle and calm.
“However, if you hurt it, put your hand into the socket, step on it or press it, you may feel a really painful sting,” warns Flåten in an interview with Nettavisen. A hornet's bite can kill if the victim is allergic to the venom. Otherwise, there is no such risk.
Hornets - a dangerous pest or good for the ecosystem?
There is no clear answer to this question. On the one hand, hornets can do a lot of damage: they bite and damage fruit and young trees, causing damage to forestry and horticulture. On the other hand, they are also needed in nature: they kill sick and weak insects, preventing the spread of diseases, and destroy crop pests.
