Often times, a fast lifestyle means that we avoid matters that are important to us, such as the meal and its regularity. It happens that during the day we do not eat as much as we should, and only in the evening, feeling very hungry, we allow ourselves to have a large dinner, arguing this by not eating all day.

After a hard day, it is important to get a good night's sleep and that the sleep is truly relaxing. Unfortunately, its quality is very negatively influenced by food just before going to bed. Why does eating a meal before going to bed have a negative effect on us? During sleep, the body performs various, very important activities that are put aside when you feel full, because the need for digestion is in the first place.

Our liver is suffering

We already know that sleep regenerates our body, but it also repairs and develops healthy tissues. Our liver and its function during sleep is very important, it is it that plays an important role in the fight against detoxification of our body. Our energy, which should be entirely devoted to the above-mentioned function, is unfortunately entirely devoted to the metabolism that takes place in our body due to eating before going to bed.

Side effects of eating before bedtime

If you are tired immediately after waking up, it is not always a sign of too short sleep or an uncomfortable bed. Eating before bed can also result in not getting enough sleep, fatigue during the day, but also obesity. In addition, it should be mentioned that if we do not eat dinner and go to sleep feeling hungry, we will be more likely to eat the most important meal in the morning, which is breakfast. Otherwise, our day will only start with the second meal.

Regularity

Eating meals regularly is a very important aspect of our lives. Developing such a system has a positive effect on our health and, consequently, well-being. It is enough for us to eat 4-5 meals a day, which will be taken on average every 3 hours.

When is the last meal?

So when should we eat dinner? Of course, it all depends on our daily rhythms, and, as we know, each is different. It is important to remember, however, that we should eat dinner no more than 2-3 hours before going to bed. Additionally, it should not be high in fats and large amounts of simple sugars (sweets, fruit).
