There are still places with no electricity in the western part of Norway. Some kindergarten and school institutions are closed today. These are the effects of the Wednesday weather breakdown, the effects of which have not yet been removed. Meanwhile, a new wave of intense rainfall and strong winds are approaching the eastern part of the country.
Wednesday is marked by bad weather
Wednesday's weather breakdown was felt most strongly by residents of Jølster in Kvamsfjellet. A wind was recorded there at a speed of 45,6 m/s. A low pressure system will bring terrible weather again on Thursday. This time, the inhabitants of the western borders can breathe a sigh of relief. Forecasters predict a small storm off the coast of Nordland, which will shrink to size in the afternoon strong wind.
For a change - it will blow in the east
The weather breakdown on Wednesday mainly affected the western outskirts of Norway. Now, for a change, strong winds and rainfall are expected to hit the eastern parts of the country, as well as the districts of Rogaland and Sørlandet.

"It is best to avoid open areas along the coast and in the mountains whenever possible," warns meteorologist Eldbjørg Moxnes in an interview with YR.no.
Don't go hiking on the weekend
According to the weather forecasters, the coming weekend will not be favorable for expeditions to the mountains. Driving on the local roads will be effectively hindered by strong winds and the temperature close to zero degrees Celsius. As a result of these conditions, the road surface will be slippery, which will increase the possibility of skidding.
It is worth securing things in the garden
Weather forecasters also remind you to secure items left in the garden. On Friday afternoon and evening, the wind will blow at 30-40 m / s, mainly on the coast and in the higher parts of the mountains. However, on the night from Friday to Saturday, it will also gain strength inland. Such wind force can carry away even larger elements that will not be properly secured.
