Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events October 20 and October 21 are primarily exhibitions and film screenings, including those dedicated to children. The organizers have provided free admission to all events, although you need to book a ticket in advance to go to a film screening. Most importantly - on October 20 you will be able to watch the cinema pre-premiere of the Cold War dir. Paweł Pawlikowski.
Polish filmdager - films and events on October 20th
Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events also include film screenings. The repertoire includes both older and newer Polish and Norwegian productions. The screening starts at 14:00 p.m. with the film "Landscape after battle" directed by Andrzej Wajda, and ends with the pre-premiere of "Cold War" directed by Paweł Pawlikowski. Tomasz Kot and Joanna Kulig in the main roles. The production was honored with a Palme d'Or at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival in 2018 for the best director.

Exhibition
Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events October 20 (see what happens on October 13 and 14) will start with an exhibition entitled “VISION-FREEDOM” by Anna Dyga. Its subject is an attempt to present a very broad concept of unlimited freedom. As Zbigniew Herbert wrote: "Freedom, about which so many treatises have been written that it has become a pale and abstract concept," and in Anna Dyga's opinion it is a highly desirable category due to its spiritual dimension.
Exhibition titled “VISION-FREEDOM” will consist of a set of stills and a video installation. The author's intention was to present a subjective vision of freedom, as well as its processual dimension. The exhibition concerns the necessity and freedom of movement not only in the metaphorical sense, but also in the literal sense. In her invitation, Anna Dyga also mentions that for her "freedom is also unlimited space, air you can breathe. It is a living contact with nature, trust and respect for it. Like most of my works, the works are an open and free artistic form, where the direction of further interpretation is up to the recipient.
The exhibition will run until October 28.

Polish filmdager - the events of October 21
The fourth day of the Festival will be dedicated to the youngest art recipients. A screening of the film titled: “The Tramp Club” directed by Tomasz Szafrański. This film is a great comedy adventure, and the cast includes such actors as, among others: Tomasz Karolak and Wojciech Mecwaldowski.

Workshops for children
Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events also planned for the youngest. On October 21, from 14:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m., there will be art workshops for children "Like birds - ice over Fredrikstad", who are over 6 years old. They will be led by a Polish artist – Anna Dyga.

Sports evening
The day on October 21 will end with a sports evening. It will begin with the broadcast of "Fantastic Losers: Another World" directed by Arūnas Matelis. It is a Lithuanian, Italian, Swiss, Belgian, Latvian, British, Irish and Spanish co-production. The plot concerns cyclists whose role is not to win, but to enable the leaders of their teams to do so. As a result, they rarely experience the glory of "being the best."

A meeting with a special guest - Grzegorz Gucwa is scheduled for 19:00. He is a Pole who ran the most difficult ultramarathon in the world this year, Badwater. We talked to the runner several times on the pages of our portal, both before take-offAnd after running through Badwater.

After the meeting, there will be a screening of the film titled “The Best” directed by Łukasz Palkowski. The production is dedicated to Jerzy Górski, whose attitude delighted the entire sports world in the 80s, although he is still a relatively unknown figure in Poland. He was a drug addict for 14 years, but after rehab he took up sports. Six years of training were enough for him to win the title of "Double Ironman", while setting a record at the Triathlon World Championships.
