Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events October 20 and October 21 are primarily exhibitions and film screenings, including those dedicated to children. Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events they also include film screenings. The repertoire includes both older and newer Polish and Norwegian productions. The screening begins at 14:00 pm with the film "Landscape after the Battle" directed by Andrzej Wajda, and ends with the pre-premiere of "Cold War" directed by Paweł Pawlikowski. Tomasz Kot and Joanna Kulig in the main roles. The production was honored with a Palme d'Or at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival in 2018 for the best director.

Exhibition
Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events October 20 (see what happens on October 13 and 14) will begin with the exhibition entitled "VISION-FREEDOM" by Anna Dyga. Its subject is an attempt to present a very broad concept of unlimited freedom. According to what Zbigniew Herbert wrote: "Freedom, about which so many treatises have been written that it has become a pale and abstract concept," and in the opinion of Anna Dyga this category is highly desirable because of its spiritual dimension.
The exhibition entitled "VISION-FREEDOM" will consist of a set of frames as well as a video installation. The intention of the author was to present a subjective vision of freedom, as well as its processual dimension. The exhibition is about the necessity and freedom of movement not only in a metaphorical but also a literal sense. In her invitation, Anna Dyga also mentions that for her "freedom is also unlimited space, air that you can breathe. It is a living contact with nature, trust and respect for it. Like most of my projects, the works are an open, free artistic form, where the recipient has the direction of further interpretation ”.
The exhibition will run until October 28.

Polish filmdager - the events of October 21
The fourth day of the Festival will be dedicated to the youngest recipients of art. On October 21, the screening of the film entitled "The Vagabond Club" directed by Tomasz Szafrański. This film is a great comedy adventure, and the cast includes actors such as Tomasz Karolak and Wojciech Mecwaldowski.

Workshops for children
Polish filmdager in Fredrikstad - events also for the youngest. On October 21, between 14 p.m. and 00 p.m., art workshops for children aged 17 and over will take place. They will be led by a Polish artist - Anna Diga.

Sports evening
October 21 will end with a sports evening. It will kick off with "Fantastic Losers: Another World," directed by Arūnas Matelis. It is a Lithuanian, Italian, Swiss, Belgian, Latvian, British, Irish and Spanish co-production. The plot is about the cyclists whose role is not to win, and the leaders of their teams allow it to do so. As a result, they rarely experience the glory of "being the best".

After the meeting, there will be a screening of the film entitled "The Best" directed by Łukasz Palkowski. The production is dedicated to Jerzy Górski, who delighted the entire sports world in the 80s with his attitude, although in Poland he is still a relatively unknown figure. He was a drug addict for 14 years, but after rehab, he took up sports. Six years of training was enough to win the title of "Double Ironman", setting a record at the triathlon world championships at the same time.
