The GUS research is terrifying. It turns out that Poles die of cancer and heart attack.

Heart attack and its causes

A heart attack has been called a disease of the modern world. Heart attack and cancer are responsible for over 70 percent of deaths in Poland. So what is one of the greatest enemies of our health? It is simply the necrosis of the part of the heart muscle that is caused by ischemia. Then, for various reasons, the blood does not reach the vital pump, and this is how a heart attack occurs.

The causes of a heart attack

One of the main causes of heart attacks is high cholesterol. Bad cholesterol (LDL) builds up on the walls of our blood vessels. The greater the amount of cholesterol deposited, the slower and harder our blood moves. At some point, there is a significant narrowing of the vessels or their complete closure until our blood cannot reach the heart. Heredity increases our risk of a heart attack. If someone in our family has already had a heart attack, we should undergo routine checkups more often to prevent a catastrophe. Stress, nerves, lack of physical activity, diabetes, hypertension, smoking are also reasons that bring us closer to a heart attack.

When our heart screams "help"!

It should be remembered that there are no identical symptoms of a heart attack. Everything always depends on the degree of closure of the coronary artery and its size. We often hear that the patient has already had a heart attack, but has never felt it, and only after examinations the doctor makes us aware of a heart attack. In such situations, there is a blockage of the small artery. In such cases, a person often feels nothing. It is worse when the large artery becomes blocked, then it can even lead to death. A person who complains of chest pain and burning should immediately see a doctor or call an ambulance.

What after a heart attack?

In fact, the treatment of a person who has suffered a heart attack begins with the arrival of paramedics, because it is they who, after diagnosing a heart attack, give them appropriate medications. Later, when the patient is admitted to the hospital, treatment depends on the type of heart attack. If it was serious enough, the most common in such situations is coronary angioplasty, i.e. a procedure that restores the vessel restoration caused by atherosclerotic changes.

Convalescence

A person who has had a heart attack immediately after leaving the hospital should remember that their lifestyle should change. Rehabilitation after a heart attack can take two to three months and is required. After completing it, you should remember about a proper diet, exercise and plenty of water.
