An accident at the Arlanda airport in Stockholm

The accident happened today at Stockholm's Arlanda airport. The plane, right after landing, crashed into the airport building with one of its wings. Fortunately, nothing happened to the passengers of the plane or to any other person. 

Arlanda airport

Located 42 km north of Stockholm. It is Sweden's largest airport and the fifteenth in Europe. It has three runways and serves over 20 million passengers annually on average.

Flight from New Delhi

The plane that crashed into one of the airport buildings today with its wing Arlanda flew from New Delhi. The machine belongs to Air India. There were 179 passengers on board. After landing at 17:44, the plane began to taxi. It was during this action that the machine got too close to terminal 5 and hit its wall. The impact was so strong that the wing got stuck in the building.

The reigning chaos

At the airport Arlanda chaos reigned immediately after the incident. Such situations don't happen every day. Shortly after the accident, airport employees appeared on the spot, who had a difficult task to do. The plane passengers were shocked by the whole situation, but luckily nobody was hurt.
