The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a positive opinion for sheltering a Norwegian woman who fled from Barnevernet with her younger daughter a year ago. Now the asylum for Silje Garmo has to be confirmed by the Office for Foreigners.
Asylum was denied in July
As reported, in July this year the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs refused to grant asylum to a Norwegian woman. The decision was then made by Minister Jacek Czaputowicz, citing important interest of the Republic of Poland. Lawyers defending the interests of Silje Garmo from Ordo Iuris have announced reference from that decision. If they were refused again, attorney Bartosz Lewandowski announced bringing the case before the Administrative Court.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs allowed the appeal
