On Friday evening, emergency services were informed of a fire at Tromsø Secondary School. The Ishavsbyen High School fire is the fourth such fire in the last two months.
A fire in a high school in Tromsø
Yesterday at 23:15 the fire brigade was informed about a fire in Tromsø High School. When the appropriate services appeared on the scene, the fire was already very large. Police commander Simon Skotte informed NRK that at the moment it is not possible to provide information on the extent of the damage caused by the fire in the Tromsø Secondary School.

Fourth fire this year
2018 is quite a miserable year for Ishavsbyen High School in Tromsø. The Friday fire is the fourth one in the year. Last month, in November, the school struggled with three such situations. The high school authorities suspect the participation of a pyomaniac. At the moment it is too early to consider yesterday's appearance of fire as a special arson.

Fire extinguishing
At 00:30 the fire brigade informed that the fire was completely extinguished. Fortunately, nothing happened to anyone as a result of the fire. The police appeals to people who may have been in the vicinity of the school on Friday evening if they did not notice anything suspicious. Any such information will be a valuable clue to whether Ishavsbyen High School is not struggling with a ruthless pyromaniac who unscrupulously sets a fire for the fourth time in a row in the last two months.
