Slippery roads and numerous accidents in eastern Norway

The police urge drivers to exercise extreme caution. Slippery roads caused by heavy rainfall and freezing temperatures lead to numerous accidents. Many dangerous incidents took place especially in eastern Norway. 

Slippery roads and numerous accidents

Oslo Police reports that it has been a long time since they had so many reports of road accidents in such a short time. So far, 5 police reports have been submitted, Marianne says to NRK Heidenstrom, who is the operational director of the Oslo Police. A more serious accident happened on Røa. Throughout the city, police patrols call for extra caution as the streets are very slippery. Drivers are also asked to review the road situation on a current basis.

Yellow level of threat

The router reports that traffic is constantly being monitored. There are a lot of cars on the roads today. In Oslo and Akershus, a yellow hazard level has been declared due to a frozen surface of rain on the roads, which causes a slippery surface. Additionally, those who chose a means of transport such as a bus will have to wait longer for it. Several routes have been turned off, and where the buses run, they are significantly delayed.

Accident on Røa

The slippery surface led to a serious accident, which luckily nobody was hurt. The passenger car skidded and landed on the subway tracks of the station Røa

An accident on E16

The accident also happened on the E16 road. North of Hønefoss collided three passenger cars and a truck. As a result of the accident, one person was transported to a nearby hospital, the rest of the participants of the incident are safe.
