The unemployed person can still apply for an unemployment benefit which is the average income from the last three years. Income in excess of six times the basic insured amount, which is currently NOK 581,298, is not included in the benefit base.

New rules for calculating the premium

If the unemployed person chose to calculate the contribution according to the average income of the three calendar years ending until the New Year, then the limit of 6G would apply.
