400 million crowns - this is how much will be spent on the new, gigantic shopping center. Soon, a gallery with a total area of 24.000 square meters will be built in Storlien. Border trade grows stronger!
A giant new shopping mall in Storlien
In Norway, there has been a very high tendency to make numerous purchases on the Swedish side for years. Products such as sweets, meat, alcohol and tobacco are the most popular. In the Trøndelag district alone, it is estimated that 290.000 inhabitants make their purchases in Sweden. A great change is waiting for all of these people as the construction of a new and gigantic shopping mall is planned. The center is to cover 24.000 sq m and cost almost CZK 2 million!

Good point on the map
The location of the new shopping center, which is to support border trade on the Norwegian side, will be along the E14 road. The location is not unfounded because customer needs are the most important, and this point on the map will certainly be able to meet them. The development company Svenska Handelsfastheheter, which is involved in the project, announced that the parking lot at the shopping center will be owner-friendly electric cars. Currently, the plan is to: 80 places to this type of charging vehicle.

The biggest attraction in Storlien
The construction of the shopping center in Storlien is the largest construction project since the 80s. It was then that the mountain hotel was built. There is no need to hide that when the shopping center is built in Storlien, it will be the biggest attraction of this region. Completion of construction is planned for one year 2020.
Interest is growing
Although the end of construction of the shopping center is scheduled for a year 2020there is no shortage of interest on the part of tenants. The value of cross-border trade is growing every year. In 2017, it amounted to approx 25 billion Swedish crowns. Experts agree that this figure will be even higher in the future. That is why there are already people willing to rent premises in the new shopping center. It is already known that the two largest stores there will be Eurocash and Coop.
