Broadband Internet in Norway. Thousands of Norwegians may soon lose access to the Internet. This mainly applies to peripheral areas, villages and small towns. Telenor - a company that has been a tycoon in the telecommunications industry "in the land of trolls" for many years is switching to fiber optic signal. In the process of changes, Internet recipients may find it difficult to access the network "on the cable".

What will changei?

By 2023, all Norwegian households will have fiber-optic Internet provided. Until then, all old, traditional lines will be closed. The latest forecasts and the process of change ... Bjørn Amundsen - representative of Telenor reassures. The company started close cooperation with individual communes. Both sides are consulting on alleviating the "digital crisis".

Fast Internet for everyone

The company makes every effort to provide customers with the Internet via mobile broadband, transmitted through external antennas. This will increase the data coverage several times. The customer's well-being is a priority. Hans Jørgen Enger, director of the competition department of the National Communications Authority, says: “Broadband coverage in... Norway is good, but there are several hundred households that do not have access to broadband Internet.” It also ensures that every Internet customer in Norway is treated seriously. Access to the Internet should be fast and uninterrupted. Every citizen of the country should have free access to digital media - the planned changes and modifications will guarantee this.

Broadband Internet in Norway - the first works have started

The implemented works are aimed at increasing free access to the network of all Norwegians. They are also closely related to the new EU law imposing an obligation to use a broadband connection. By 2023, all households in Norway (both in cities and in the periphery) are expected to have access to a broadband connection.

Telenor - internet giant in Norway.

Telenor has no equal in Norway. The history of the company dates back to 1895, when no one had even thought about the Internet in their wildest dreams. Until 1998, the company was a monopoly on the telecommunications market. Then competition appeared. However, Telenor does not take its foot off the gas pedal and continues to provide its customers with the most innovative solutions. The company employs 23 people. Today Telenor delivers Internet to thousands of private and corporate clients in Norway and not only.
