80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II - celebrations

It is the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II. Special ceremonies took place at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw. There were many invited guests. + Special speeches were made by Vice President of the United States of America Michael Pence, President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and President of Poland Andrzej Duda. An honorary salute was held and the guests rang the bell. The whole thing ended with a parade.

Delegations from 40 countries came to the celebrations commemorating the outbreak of World War II: including presidents, prime ministers, speakers of parliaments, ministers of foreign affairs, national defense, envoys of royal families from Europe. Everyone was welcomed by President Andrzej Duda and his wife.

Among the guests were German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and the presidents of: Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Lithuanian Gitanas Nauseda, Czech Milosz Zeman, Slovakia Zuzana Czaputova, Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Hungarian Janos Ader.
