Of course, it is by no means legal and it is this phenomenon that the Norwegian police have announced that they will fight. If someone knows where he should stop, he will quickly find a driver who will take him to the place of his choice for much less than a "legal" taxi. The passenger knows the name of the driver as he introduces himself first. However, he stipulates that in the event of a control or arrest by the police, the passenger is to say that he is a good friend of the driver and that the driver offered him a lift.
