– what will the changes involve?
How will we feel the change? The percentage hike will be around 10%. It is to concern mainly: alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, raw tobacco and innovative products. According to preliminary analyzes, an increase in the excise duty related to tobacco products may increase the price of a pack of cigarettes (20 cigarettes) by an average of about PLN 1,02. Following this lead, a pack of smoking tobacco (50 g) will be PLN 1,69 more expensive. Cigars will increase by about PLN 0,40 per piece, and a kilogram of raw tobacco by about PLN 22,93.
What products will be exempt from excise duty? Will we pay more for everything?
As it turns out, there are products that will be excluded from the excise duty mentioned. These include, but are not limited to, all kinds of electronic paper liquids, ciders and perks. The said liquids for electronic cigarettes will be excised, but probably not until July 2020.
