Thanks to the reform, 119 municipalities joined forces more or less voluntarily. 47 communes are innovations from the turn of the year. What changes have occurred?
Recall - the municipalities of Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag have merged since January 1, 2018. So they do not belong to the six new ones. In the case of the commune of Rogaland, the commune of Møre og Romsdal, the commune of Nordland and the commune of Oslo, no changes have been made.

The process of merging the communes is not finished. Connecting communes will be successively implemented through: financial incentives, as well as providing poviat councils with resources that will help communes to connect.
