The government believes the new FHI data shows that the restrictions are working. Therefore, action against the pandemic continues until Easter, April 13, says Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

The government discussed the effects of the measures introduced on March 12 and decided that preventive measures should be continued.
- We believe that the new data from the FHI shows that preventing the spread of the virus and our actions are working. Unfortunately, today it is impossible to say how quickly the infection spreads. We need a better foundation to see what the precautionary measures have contributed to before we know if they can be mitigated, says the prime minister.
That is why our activities continue until Easter, April 13.
- Our goal is to restore everyday life. Unfortunately, today's government decision places severe restrictions on our daily lives, but we do it for everyone we love, ”says Solberg.
Here are the measures that will run until April 13
Coronavirus restrictions
- Keep distance: When you are outside there should be no more than five people in the group and people should be at least two meters apart indoors
- Closing of kindergartens and schools: the requirement continues but adjustments are under consideration.
- Closing businesses if they are unable to comply with the authorities' order to protect against infection (physiotherapists / manual therapists, chiropractors, opticians, paediatricians, speech therapists, psychologists, complementary and alternative medicine, alternative treatment, other activities outside specialist health services): The preventive measure continues, but there are exceptions in specific cases via digital communication where it is possible.
- Closing of events, gyms, swimming pools, hairdressers, skin care services etc. We are continuing preventive measures.
- Healthcare professionals working with patients are not allowed to travel abroad
- People coming to Norway must stay in quarantine for 14 days:
- All who have had close contact with infected persons should be quarantined for 14 days after contact
- Persons suspected or confirmed to be infected should remain isolated
- All healthcare institutions should implement access control
