. Two people died on Wednesday evening.

Police released a report on the night of 02:19 of Wednesday 24 June about the incident at an address in the Storhaug district of Stavanger. This was reported by the police in a press release.

Police quickly appeared on the scene and found two people dead. We arrested a man in his forties who was staying at this place. He is now accused of two murders, says police spokesman Fredrik Martin Soma.

"The man is in custody now and we will try to interrogate him during the day," says Soma.

“We are at a very early stage of the investigation. We cannot say anything more about the course of events and the background to the killings, ”said a police lawyer.

The man charged with the double homicide in Stavanger was known to be murdered. According to Stavanger Aftenblad, the deceased was the murderer's ex-wife and was with a new boyfriend. Police believe that those involved are Syrian asylum seekers.
