Surplus tanks

According to Statistics Norway, there was a large surplus of water in the reservoirs combined with high electricity production. It lowered it electricity prices, excluding land prices and network rents.

The average electricity price including taxes and grid rent was 72,8 øre per kilowatt hour. The price drop was as high as 67 percent. Compared to the same quarter last year.

. Real costs

Of the total electricity price, the electricity price was 20%, the grid rent 39% and the electricity taxes the remaining 41%. Rent and grid charges account for the greater part of the total electricity price in times of very low electricity prices. Cited by the Norwegian Statistical Office in its report.

In particular, households that entered into a mid-price contract paid little for electricity, and the average price in the second quarter was øre 12,3 per kilowatt hour, excluding taxes and fees. Since 2007, electricity prices in permanent contracts have not been lower.
