Immediately after the January increase in energy prices in Norway as we wrote earlier, there was also an increase in the prices of food and other products. The Norwegian Central Statistical Office informs
According to the Norwegian Central Statistical Office, the consumer price index (KPI-12-month index) increased by 1,4% in 2020. The consumer price index for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 2,8%.

Sharp declines in global grain stocks are forecast
Global cereal use in 2020/21 is currently forecast at 2 million tonnes, 761 million tonnes more than in the previous season. The leading growth is the strong forage use of coarse grain in China. World wheat and rice use are projected to increase by 52% and 0,7% respectively in the coming year.
World cereal stocks are projected to decline by 2,2% to 801 million tonnes, the lowest level in five years.
