On Sunday, February 21.02.2021, 84, King Harald, who is on sick leave, turns XNUMX years old. The King still has to train after he had knee surgery a few weeks ago.

On Sunday, the king's birthday will be celebrated privately

Last week, King Harald's sick leave was extended for another month following knee surgery in late January.

He's still in rehabilitation, said the Royal House. They also said the royal physician recommended further rehabilitation before the king resumes his constitutional duties.

He recently stayed in Kongsseteren, where, according to information from the Royal House, he is undergoing physical therapy.

Successful operation

The king was admitted to Rikshospitalet on January 29 after leg pain. The next day he was operated on due to a tendon injury to his right knee and the operation was a success.

While the king is on sick leave, the heir to the throne, Haakon, takes care of his duties.

Sick leave is the last of several the king has had in the last year and a half.

In September last year, he was on sick leave in connection with heart surgery. In January last year, he reported the disease due to dizziness, and in the fall of last year, a viral infection led to sick leave.

"This day is privately held, no details are published about the celebration," says Sven Gj, deputy manager of communications at the Royal Court. Gjeruldsen

We wish you a quick recovery and longevity !!!
