Lillestrøm, Lørenskog and Rælingen will move from A to B from Thursday 6 May inclusive, provided that they introduce further local measures to be coordinated between themselves and the municipality of Oslo. Ullensaker Municipality will be moved from Level A to Level B from Monday 3 May inclusive. The municipalities of Eidsvoll and Nannestad will be removed from the program thanks to regional funding from Monday 3 May inclusive.

- Severe restrictions contribute to further reducing the number of infections in Viken. While infection rates are still high in the municipalities bordering Oslo to the east, the decline in infection indicates that the four municipalities that had an A restriction level as of March 16 can be reduced to B. This will be done provided that Lillestrøm, Lørenskog and Rælingen it will coordinate its actions with Oslo and introduce strong and coordinated measures in addition to regional actions, says Minister of Health and Care Services Bent Høie.

Norwegian Directorate of Health, National Institute of Public Health, State Administrator in Oslo i Viken and the municipalities concerned maintained a close dialogue on this matter. Most municipalities support this recommendation.

Some municipalities should still have more restrictive local measures, in addition to a B-level measure.

These municipalities will be moved from Level A to Level B from midnight on the night of May 6:

  • Lillestrøm
  • Lørenskog
  • Balustrade

In the case of these municipalities, it is assumed that the municipalities coordinate cooperation with each other and with the City of Oslo to introduce sufficient local mobility measures and contact restriction measures. This is in addition to the regional measures and must be based on the local and regional infection situation.

For these three municipalities, the National Institute of Public Health recommends the following local action, which should also be coordinated with Oslo:

  • Closing of shopping centers, alternatively closing of restaurants in shopping centers combined with enhanced supervision and limiting the number of visitors to shopping centers
  • No eating indoors but permission to eat outdoors in other restaurants
  • Limiting the number of events allowed at the level of initiative B (funerals to 50 people, religious and philosophical meetings to 10 people).

The following municipality will be transferred from Action Level A to B from midnight midnight to Monday 3 May:

  • Ullensaker

The following municipalities are subject to operational restrictions at level B:

  • Asker
  • Baerum
  • Drammen
  • Enebakk
  • Fredrikstad
  • Frog
  • Halden
  • Indre Østfold
  • Lier
  • Moss
  • Northern Follo
  • Advise
  • Sarpsborg
  • Vestby
  • Ås

The changes are valid for two weeks until May 16, 2021, inclusive, but with a reassessment of the level of funds after one week.

The municipalities of Eidsvoll and Nannestad, which are currently regulated under the level of measure B, will be removed from the scheme with regional measures from midnight to Monday 3 May 2021.
