The car was completely wrecked after a stone fell from the top of the Trodal tunnel in Matre in the Masfjord. The incident must have happened around 14.00 p.m.

The photos of the car show that the roof is completely damaged. Everything except the area around the driver's seat has been destroyed.

“We don't know the cause yet, Jenny Eva Nilsson, traffic operator in the traffic center. It ensures that the driver has not suffered any injuries.

"I saw pictures of the car and it wasn't looking good," he says.

- The tow truck was in place and picked up the vehicle, reports the West District Police Station on Twitter. The driver of the car was a man in his forties.

The tunnel is closed but is expected to open Thursday evening at 22:00. Several other tunnels in the area are closed to prevent queuing.  Road Traffic Management Center

"We're going to do a tunnel cleaning now, then we'll check that everything's okay." It will only open if everything is safe, says Nilson. Until then, traffic will be redirected.
