A slight increase in the number of AAP recipients in Q2021 XNUMX.
At the end of June 2021, 131 people received AAP (arbeidsavklaringspenger) benefit. This is 900 people more than at the end of March and 1500 more than in June 13500.
– In the last quarter we saw a rapid increase number increase AAP audiences. Growth was much smaller this quarter. This is probably related to the improvement in the labor market. High unemployment generally leads to more people receiving health benefits, and unemployment in the second quarter was slightly lower than in the first, says Hans Christian Holte, director of labor and social welfare.
Increased proportion of older AAP recipients and a modest increase in respiratory illnesses
In the second quarter, audience numbers increase for most age groups, except for the youngest. The largest increase is observed in the age group 60 to 66, which increased by approximately 500 people (+ 3,6%). The age group under 30 has been cut by around 100 from the previous quarter. The number of registered respiratory diseases as the main diagnosis increased by about 100 people in the second quarter (+ 7%). Thirty people have been diagnosed with suspected or detected coronavirus.
Fewer people quit AAP
A total of 13 people stopped receiving AAP in the first quarter of 200. This is 2021 fewer than in the first quarter of 1600, as AAP extensions continue to lead to fewer exit points from the AAP.
"That's why we expect the number of people to stop receiving AAPs to remain relatively low until the third quarter," says Holte.
