The national coronavirus certificate check page should be hidden in Health Norway, according to health authorities. When reopening, only an EU certificate is needed.
Norwegian Directorate of Health, the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) and the Norwegian Health Network (NHN) Inform the Ministry of Health and Welfare about preferred changes.
According to them, the national control party is causing confusion, and the police are reporting misunderstandings about the vaccination certificate at border crossing points.
The coronavirus hotline also has a large number of inquiries regarding the use of the national certificate and misunderstandings with the EU certificate.
- Constant changes to the rules require a large investment in development and testing at FHI and NHN. Thanks to two different solutions, work becomes more complex, expensive and involves an increased risk of errors.
- The same applies to work to ensure up-to-date communication on the websites of the Helsenorge, FHI and the Norwegian Health Directorate. These are tasks that must be completed until a national certificate is received, although in the current situation there are no regulations that would require the presentation of this certificate.
