A 17-year-old girl was sentenced to community service after driving 179 kilometers per hour in zone 80, exceeding the legal limit by 99 kilometers outside Trondheim.

A girl who did not have a driver's license explained in court that the family left when she borrowed Tesla in late June, writes Addressseavisen.

She wanted to show off to a friend when she broke the speed limit on the county road east of Trondheim. The film of a terrifying drive, shot by a friend of the girl, ended up in the hands of the police.

The 17-year-old was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and a fine of SEK 6000 in the District Court of Trøndelag. In addition, she cannot drive until the age of 20.
